Tonight is the last night of my new night-time assistant, Halle. In contrast to her short 4'10" stature, she's done an awesome job. She took no welder backtalk and handled the plant's unique challenges beautifully. As a relatively new first-timer tradition (inspired by Jeff at a sister plant), we gave Halle a "special project".
She learned to weld, taught by the shift supervisor himself. Even the welding company's superintendant was impressed.
Aside from being scared out of her mind (what's a few hundred degrees between friends?), she did a great job! Have a good flight, Halle!! I hope to see you next outage. :)
Hey, Jen... that was March 18. What's happening now, girl?
