Saturday I snuck my Grandmother out for High Tea at Mrs. Bridges Pantry in Woodstock. It's a sweet little spot run by an English couple. They serve all the traditional English fare, including salmon & cucumber sandwiches, devonshire cream, potato leek soup, and many tea types served in personal pots with tea cosies. It was a lovely break from the norm.

Sunday I came back down for Julia's 3rd birthday! Kate outdid herself with these gorgeous ladybug cupcakes.
But I have to be honest, I really came to hug her mom. :) I haven't seen Mrs. Treacy in years, and she looks wonderful. She always gave the best hugs in high school!
It was a wonderful party. The cousins were there, and Kate's dad, who spent a bit of time trying to learn a digital camcorder (hee hee!), and Eric, who showed me all the great plans he has for the kitchen as soon as his contracting work picks up. Yay home ownership!

I don't remember what I did to earn her thanks, but she gets MY thanks, because I was Uncle Jen for the rest of the party. Hurray! :)
Before I left I orchestrated one last picture of Kate's parents. What sweet lovebirds...it was really great to see them!
More pics of Julia's fun day is here. Enjoy!

What a great day! I especially loved the pic of you, Kate and Marie... three of my favorite women! Both the senior Treacys look great, and the kids are adorable. Thank you for sharing, Uncle Jen!
