Let's see, where did I leave off... Oh yes. The shortcake. After shortcake Jeff, me and his parents left for the Big Butler Fair and more specifically, to see the SEA LION SHOW!
We spent about 30 minutes walking around, looking at cows and chickens and other farmer fare...

Then... sea lions! It was a great show, and we had some great seats.

I've never seen a sea lion conga line before.
The show was educational and short, which was good, because the School Bus Demolotion Derby was next!

Oooo!

Smash!!
After some good ol' redneck fun, we finished off the rest of the fair.

A final treat was a first for both Jeff and I: The local Pioneer Drive In Theatre. The movie double feature: Cars II followed by Pirates of the Caribbean 4. The car: 1998 Mazda Miata, red. Topless, of course.
We tried to stay up for the second film but we learned that (a) we're no longer college students and (b) small zippy convertables aren't that comfortable 3 hours into an evening. But it was a really great place. There were five screens, all playing current listings, and it was packed, which was nice to see. The sound came in loud and clear over the radio as Jeff identified every car Pixar animated.
Up Next: July 4!
Thanks to you we also had great seats for the sea lion show. My brother got to see all of it on u-tube he tells me they travel all over our country!
