Mary is a darling... and quite a good photographer, I might add. She's gonna give Auntie Jen quite a run for her money. I'm a little lost.. is this the friend with daughter you've mentioned... or have you gone ahead with the Big Sister thing you considered?
ReplyDeleteYep, this is my former coworker Bob and his adopted daughter, Mary. Bob lives in Salem but works in South Carolina (sound familiar?), and comes home every other weekend.
ReplyDeleteI never did the big sister thing... they wanted every weekend for 3 months, and with summer coming I felt a little trapped... if i could have done after school that would've been better, but that's tricky with a school kid.
OK, glad to have that confirmed. I thought if you'd become a Big Sister, we'd have heard. And yes, Bob's situation sounds very familiar. He must hate being away from Mary most of the week.
