As you've no doubt noticed, I've been keeping to myself lately, enjoying some private time, and enjoying the personal communication that one-to-one email can allow. I needed/wanted a break from my public diary, waxing and waning philosophical seems to make me seem pretentious to myself. Ah, me.
Anyway, here I am. With a few stories, a few concerns, and hopefully, a new start. So what's been going on...? Let's check Facebook and find out:
- Sarah and Kohta always make amazing dinners, with dangerously delicious cocktails.

- Pilgrim is blind in one eye, thanks to a car accident...but thankfully has fully recovered aside from that.

- I discovered that African food is delicious (lamb stew!)

- Kate was amazing and set up a high school reunion of the most important kind.

- I took part in a Pittsburgh tradition and ate a Primanti Bros. sandwich. The whole thing. OMG, so good.

- I went to Savannah, Georgia.

- Kate took me out to lunch, and her beautiful mom made me a birthday cake, with stunning orchids to brighten my day and my desk.

- The family tree is coming along...with more to add after a meeting a third cousin once removed tomorrow

Among other things. Hopefully there will be more soon. Cheers!
Ratz... missed your birthday! I'm glad Marie celebrated you so well. It's good to have you back - we've missed you!
ReplyDeleteHow was the third cousin twice removed? I love your ongoing family saga.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great meeting! The kid is a go-getter. He's 25, has his own architecture business in Medford, and is doing his own family history. He's ridiculous. I think I scared him with my excitement, but honestly- he's the first person I've met that's both super organized and an internet whiz. A definite win! :)
ReplyDeleteReturn now, to those thrilling days of yesteryear, when the "lone Jennifer" rides again! You've been gone too long, Kemosabe!
